Join us Saturday, September 25, 2021 for the SJR200+1 Virtual Gala!

Tickets start at $25!

We could not do it in person last year, so we are bringing it to you virtually, one year later (+1)!

Join your host, John Lu '82, and a cast of dozens as we connect with our global community to celebrate 200+1 years as Western Canada's oldest (and best) independent school.

The family friendly evening includes a special interview with 3x Olympic Gold Medallist, Jennifer Botterill '97, a unique SJR trivia game (brought to you by your favourite teachers and alumni), "then and now" student videos showcasing the growth of our School, and special Rock Show performances.

It would not be an SJR celebration without House spirit.  House points will be awarded for participation. Wear your House colours, or brand your House colour as your background.  Don't worry, we will provide that to you in advance of the event.  Bonus points if you wear your old uniform (will it still fit?).  Which House will win the SJR200 House Cup?  Join us Saturday, September 25, 2021 to find out!

Log on early at 6:00 p.m. and enjoy dinner in the Virtual Dining Hall, then stay on after the main event and join one of our "Night Cap" Lounges, set-up by decade and SJR location so you can drop in and out and visit with alumni and SJR friends from around the world.

6:00 p.m. Virtual Dining Hall opens
Log on early and enjoy dinner from the comfort of your own home with other SJR families!  "Tables" will be set-up by Grade and alumni reunion years. Empty tables will be available for on the spot visits.

SJR is proud to be accredited and affiliated with several local, national and international educational organizations.
St. John’s-Ravenscourt School was founded in 1820 principally to serve the children of the Selkirk settlers. By 1834 there were forty students, evenly split between boys and girls. SJR has inevitably grown and changed over the years since, though its success throughout has been unimpeachable. We have graduated 18 Rhodes scholars, for example, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II granted patronage and established a scholarship in her name in 1981. Today the programs are as strong as our reputation. A strong academic program is paired with an equally strong attention to the values of stewardship, ethical leadership, and excellence in all areas of academic, social and athletic life.
